While the 9.0 quake was a crazy shake, this has the potential to be a lot worse. My place is only ~35 miles (56km) from the meeting of 3 tectonic plates and only a bit further from Mt. Fuji, an active volcano. It's only another 9 miles (14.5km) to Shinjuku in Tokyo proper. (click on photo to enlarge)
